On Tuesday we opened our mailbox and found a letter from the Department of Homeland Security. Our I-800A application was approved by the US Government without issue or delay! This is a huge relief, and answer to prayer! The approval is valid for one year, after which we will need to apply for an extension if we have not already been match with a child (in which case we will be filing form I-800). Our hope is that we are matched quickly and will not need an extension.
We continue to await approval of our CARA Dossier 1 from India. If estimates are accurate, we are hopeful to hear by mid April.
