We hope this message finds you well and filled with as much excitement as we have to finally share with everyone the news that we have begun the process to adopt a child! For us, the decision to adopt was an easy one…figuring out the right timing, that was more difficult! We have known for a very long time that God was calling us to adoption, but understanding His timing is something that always seems to come with a few lessons along the way that reveal our dependence upon Him. We recognize that the joy of adoption is born out of the reality of tragedy, but we firmly believe that God can bring beauty from ashes.
As many of you know, the adoption journey is a process often filled with twists, turns, and sometimes unexpected moments. We officially began this journey back in February of this year (2023). During these months we have quietly celebrated several small milestones of selecting an agency, choosing a country (yay, India!), submitting applications, completing training, and turning in stacks of required paperwork! We’ve been fingerprinted, interviewed, evaluated, examined, and we even learned what it means to get documents apostilled. We anticipate another year or two until we bring our child home. We understand that the road to adoption can be unpredictable, but with God’s help we are confident that there isn’t any obstacle that can keep us from the child he has in mind for us!
Throughout this process, we’ll use this website to keep you updated on our progress, milestones, and any significant developments. Please feel free to share this site with anyone you know who might be interested in staying up to date on our adoption.
