We're Matched!

 We are overjoyed to share the incredible news that we’ve been matched with a beautiful little girl! This moment feels like a dream come true, and our hearts are overflowing with gratitude and excitement. We’re thanking the Lord for His abundant blessings and guidance throughout this journey. His love and grace have been our strength, and we are truly blessed to be entrusted with the joy of bringing this precious child into our family.

The journey to this point has been filled with anticipation, prayers, and incredible support from all of you! We have spent countless hours preparing, hoping, and dreaming about the day we would receive this wonderful news. Now that it’s here, we can hardly contain our excitement! The thought of holding our little girl in our arms fills us with immense joy.

While we are thrilled to be matched, we know that there is still a long wait (7-12 months) ahead of us before we can bring her home. Here’s what the next steps in our journey look like:

-          Sign the paperwork which will make our acceptance of the match official. (The originals are sent via standard international postal mail from India, which can take a few weeks to arrive in MN)

-          Submit an I-800 to the US government, to establish eligibility for US citizenship of our daughter.

-          The US Embassy will then issue an “Article 5 Letter” to India

-          Wait for NOC (No Objection Certificate) from India. India had previously approved us of adopting in general, and the NOC will approve this specific match.

As we embark on these next steps, we remain deeply thankful for the Lord’s guidance and blessings. We trust in His timing and provision, knowing that He has a perfect plan for our family. This journey has been a testament to His faithfulness, and we are confident that He will continue to lead us every step of the way. Our biggest prayer requests within these steps are:

1.       Pray for provision and protection for our daughter while she is still in India

2.       Pray for the officials in India to issue our NOC without any issue
